Sudhir Gota specializes on environmental issues related to transport and has extensive experience in road design and safety aspects. He currently serves as Technical Advisor - Transport for the Clean Air Initiative Asia (CAI-Asia). He holds a Masters Degree in transportation engineering from National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India. His research examines at the current ASIF framework (or “activity,” “mode share,” “intensity,” and “fuel mix”) in Asia, which was initially developed by Dr. Schipper to create a transparent system of calculating emissions. His research on "do-nothing" baselines for transport investment was published in World Transport Policy and Practice in September 2014. Fei Li is a Ph.D. candidate at New York University. She researches, evaluates and challenges one of the most prevalent automobile-oriented planning policies around the globe: parking. A reform of the parking standard, which is often overlooked by planners and researchers, has the potential to deeply influence urban form and travel behavior. Li and Gota's research is available for download at the links below in working paper format. |
